Giving thanks this season…
It’s Thanksgiving week here in the U.S. which is typically the time we gather and recall all the things we are grateful for. Thanksgiving is an annual national holiday celebrating the harvest and other blessings of the past year.
The last couple years have been tough, but belief it or not, there IS still a lot to be thankful for! There are still so many blessings. It’s important to take a moment to have some perspective and look deeply at all the good in your world.
I thought I would share some things I am grateful for.
Here are some of mine…
#1 – Family
I’m so incredibly grateful for my entire family. In the past few years, I have lost both of my parents, but I still have my sisters with whom I am close. I love connecting with them, as well as their spouses and their kids. Everyone has remained safe and healthy, and we are connecting through text and Zoom more than ever. It’s been wonderful to see the growing families, and great-nieces and nephews coming into the world. Even though we are spread across the U.S., I love the fact that I can maintain a wonderful relationship with all of them, even digitally! I am grateful for them, as well as the technology that has kept us connected!
#2 – My little Cosmo
When that little guy came into the world, I wasn’t ready for a cat. He was patient and waited for me, working on me every step of the way. Finally, I caved, and said let’s go home “little man.” He has become my world, and I now know it was meant to be. He has provided such love and companionship. I didn’t find out until he was two that he has special medical needs, but we are working on the right combination of medication and therapy for him. He has turned out to be a terrific travel buddy, and a very special, cuddly little fellow. He brings me such happiness. I am so grateful I decided to adopt him! Or maybe, he adopted me?
#3 – My Health
I’m grateful for my health and the fact that I have been able to avoid getting sick. I have been able to reduce my stressors and concentrate on my own wellbeing. OK, I do need to improve in many areas, but I’m not torturing myself or being negative in any way. I try to get better at one area, and then tackle the next. And I pay attention to what my body is telling me. I am developing good habits. (Click HERE for my article on habits.) I am so grateful that I’m healthy and can still do what my heart tells me is my passion and purpose. Speaking of…
#4 – My Work
Working from home has made me the happiest I’ve ever been! Focusing on my creativity has kept me sane these last couple years. I’m either working on my art or working on my online course and membership launch. I am so happy to jump out of bed in the morning knowing that I am working on something that makes my heart sing. No matter what it is, I love it because I’m my own boss and no one can take this business away from me. I know the feeling of being in the wrong place, doing the wrong thing, at the wrong time. I know what it’s like to have to reinvent yourself late in life! And I know FOR SURE that it can be done! It’s WONDERUFL! My goal is to help you find your passion and turn it into the life and work you love.
#5 – YOU
The most important thing that I’m grateful for is YOU! If you’re in my world, you’re a part of my creative community. I’m so grateful you are reading this. I’m so grateful you open my emails. I’m so grateful to read your comments and I’m grateful that you even hit “reply” occasionally to ask me questions.
Thank you for joining me this year. I’m grateful to each one of you, in both my free and paid programs! I love to help others find their passion and live it fully. From finding a passion, to making it the center of your life, with focus, organization, and even business planning…. I love teaching you how I managed to find it all!
I’m grateful to be your coach and mentor. I’m grateful to be your teacher. I’m grateful for each one of you because you inspire me and confirm that what I’m doing is important!
Take the time this week, as we approach Thanksgiving here in the U.S. to stay positive and think about all you can be grateful for.
Remember,
Be-U, on purpose, 4-Life
