Colors… are like words that form a subtle language of mood, energy, and insight.

About Me...
Artist, Designer, Educator, Creative Director ~
You’ve may have heard the phrase before – “I’m a military brat!” Yep, I’m an Air Force kid! And, what a fun and inspiring upbringing that was! We lived all over the U.S., and spent time overseas. As a child, I lived in Germany, and got to see Holland, Spain, and many other parts of Europe. It was an exciting childhood introduction to cultures, food, and art!
I’ve always loved fabric. I learned to sew early and began making my own clothes in 6th grade. All through high school, I’d rush through my homework so I could sit down and draw…. paper doll clothes, wedding gowns, even wardrobes for Barbie! I eventually went to art school and studied fashion design.
With 30 years of experience in the garment industry, I’ve had the privilege of working as a designer and then Director of Product Development, where I led creative teams in the development of clothing designs and patterns. When the industry downsized me out of a career I loved, I found myself at a crossroads—needing to reinvent myself creatively while staying true to everything that had made that career so fulfilling.
That reinvention led me here.
My art is deeply influenced by my years in garment design, where I worked with fabrics, fibers, and textures daily. The transition from designing clothing to creating abstract, textural mixed media art was a natural progression—my work is sculptural by nature, often incorporating elements from my garment industry days, making it a fusion of past experiences and new creative explorations.
But I didn’t stop at making art.
I also bring my director’s perspective to helping serious makers develop genuine craft mastery. Not tips and tricks. Not introductory tutorials. Real technical expertise and creative problem-solving skills that close the gap between what you see in your mind and what you can actually execute—at the level your work deserves.
After 30 years of leading creative teams and solving complex technical challenges, I know what separates exceptional work from ordinary work. And I know how to help you get there.
Whether you’re here to collect original textile art or to develop your own craft at the highest level—welcome.
I’m so glad you’re here.
