POP Quiz –

I have two questions for you….

First-What kind of creative are you?

If your first answer is, “I’m not,” I’d beg to differ with you. We’re ALL creative to some degree. If you’ve ever opened the fridge to make supper and found a whole lot of nothin‘, then grabbed a few eggs to whip up a scramble with the last bit of cheese, some leftover vegetables, and half a sweet potato, well then, you are creative. I’d give you more proof, but that’s another story entirely! We’ll make that Plan B.

“Everyone has creativity within them. It’s just a matter of unlocking that creativity.” Christina Canters

Back to Plan A. Humor me…What kind of creative are you?

I will accept “I don’t know.” Truth be told, I can’t say I was truly knowledgeable of the individual “types” other than the personalities that lean toward the standard disciplines. You know, painting, dancing, writing, engineering…you get the picture. That’s not what we’re talking about here.

But, before I go any further, let’s get to the second question. What do you think of personality tests?

I know. I know. There are too many out there to count, and some are less than helpful. Regardless, I find them fascinating (even the ones that didn’t get me at all – in my humble opinion 😊) and I’ve done quite a few of them for fun.

So, when one showed up the other day in my news feed, I was intrigued. The graphics were extraordinary, and it turned out to have the weirdest questions!

Instead of asking me to rank items from “the most” to “the least” true, it took me through fifteen either/or questions. Some of them were pretty odd, like “Are you a ruler or a spring?” However, once you’ve answered them all, the test will ultimately reveal what type of creative you are. Who knew? Are you the Artist, the Thinker, the Adventurer, the Maker, the Producer, the Dreamer, the Innovator, or the Visionary? Not the segments I was expecting. It was fun and it was FREE!

So, what is this mysterious, funky quiz?

If you like these kinds of things too, and you’re willing to accept that you ARE indeed creative, then you’ll love this fun and simple test Adobe Create has released. Through a series of rather odd questions, you’ll get to see what kind of a creative you are. And you’ll giggle your way through the questions imagining yourself as a spring!

My result? “The Innovator.” Considering how short and simple the questions are, the result is really accurate in my case. It said that I feel the best when I’m using my intellectual and creative powers to solve problems and dream up new and improved ways of doing things. Basically, they nailed me!

Of course, I would expect that from a creative company like Adobe, and it was kinda nice to finally say, “Awww, they actually know me.”

Of course, the results aren’t “black-and-white labels,” as Adobe notes. “While there’s probably one core type that best describes you, you may change types at different points in your life and career, or even at different stages of the creative process. As a creative, you have a little bit of all eight Types inside you.”

Ready? If you want to have some fun and find out which of these eight types describes you best, head over to Adobe’s website and take the test. What’s cool is that the results will also tell you what kind of person/partner you’ll work best with so you can maximize your natural gifts and theirs.

So, what type of creative are you?

I would love to hear from you. Tell me in the comments below what type you are and what you think about your results. I especially want to hear from those of you who said you weren’t creative. I’m betting that something in your results will make you rethink that! Remember creativity isn’t necessarily artistic talent.  Mine’s a perfect example-I like using intellect to solve complex problems and find new and interesting solutions. That’s creative thinking at its core!

So take the test and come back and comment below! Or join my free Facebook group, https://www.facebook.com/groups/virginiasstudiocats and let us know there!

I can’t wait to hear what type you are!
